Mollie’s Manchester

Gemma is curating a new collection for Mollie’s Manchester, a new design-led hotel and diner opening in the old Granada Studios in Summer 2024. The collection, which she has called ‘From the North’ after Granada TV’s tag line, celebrates the unique spirit, the history of urban resilience and the wild landscapes of the North of England.

As a northerner herself, Gemma has immersed herself in the Manchester art scene to source an exciting mix of work which puts international artists and the city’s key players alongside emerging local talent and rising stars.

Combining commissioned pieces with discoveries (like finds from the Manchester Art Fair), her aim is to create a cohesive collection with meaningful stories which responds to the building’s history and the city’s creative, sporting and cultural legacies.
